30 Minutes of Gameplay

 I haven't done as much work on the game as I would have liked in the last few weeks, but here's an update of sorts.



Three errors in the video that I fixed in real time:
1. Lydia starts sentence with lowercase letter at one point ("oh!" instead of "Oh!")
2. A chest disappeared after I opened it in Branch Village.
3. Charm Bangle added +1 defense instead of +1 luck.

Unique NPC Names

 All NPCs in Penumbra Crystallis have names. Every wandering old man in town and every shopkeeper trying to peddle their wares will have an accompanying name. As seen here in this text document, I'm tracking them so that I don't repeat any:


Feel free to suggest names either here or on the Discord server. Want to use your own name (whether that's a real name or your internet alias), or just have a cool, unique name that you want to send my way? Feel free to do so and I'll include it!

Branch Castle Preview

 Say hello to Penumbra Crystallis' Branch Castle! It is relatively unchanged from Blackmoon Prophecy. Well, I mean, aside from the graphics being original.

Codex Abilities

Codex abilities have been finalized!

Throughout your adventure, you will obtain "Codex" items that you can equip. A lot of these items will provide universal bonuses to anyone who equips them, but certain codices will also grant abilities to specific characters. Codex abilities are intended to be highly scalable, more so than regular battle abilities, so they should be useful throughout the entirety of Penumbra Crystallis.

Here is the list of codex abilities. I've removed the column saying who gets which abilities, so their users will remain a mystery for now! Happy guessing!






Also, of course, the Blackmoon Prophecy/Final Fantasy influence behind some of these abilities is probably obvious.
